Suralini De Silva

Suralini steered CBS as its Managing Director from inception before stepping down from an active operational role. She steered CBS during the most challenging business climate the organization and country at large experienced from 2018 to 2023 because of multiple challenges faced post the Easter Sunday bombings in Colombo, COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns, economic crisis, power crisis, fuel shortages and public protests that crippled the nation. Suralini does not hesitate to roll up her sleeves and get her hands dirty, when faced with adverse challenges and was very evident when CBS was selected as the supplier of choice by the World Bank funded Early Childhood Development Project to manufacture and distribute thousands of handwash stations and hygiene products across early childhood development centers spread across the entire country during the first COVID-19 lockdown, when procurement and logistics were at a complete standstill.

On stepping down from an active operational role at CBS, Suralini couldn’t resist her natural entrepreneurship and has been pursuing her personal hobby and passion for hair and beauty and operates a high-end salon in Colombo.
